Many people are
under the impression that if they have a bad credit history,
obtaining another credit card is next to impossible. This is very
wrong. There are many options available for individuals with less
than perfect credit ratings. The first and most obvious would be
obtaining a Secured Credit Card (SCC) whereby the individual simply
makes a deposit with the credit card Agency equal or less than the
credit limit of the credit card. This negates any risk on the
credit card agency behalf as there already is the initial deposit
that they can draw on assuming the individual can't settle their
monthly dues.
The trick is that
with this Secured Credit Card arrangement it is almost impossible
to default as you are basically drawing on your own money thus
isn’t exactly a real credit arrangement. It is however reflected in
your credit report that it is a true blue credit card and thus will
improve your credit score the longer you use the card.
